As you wander down the twisty turvy road of blogging, you’re encouraged to go to conferences to network with other bloggers.
Makes sense. Blogging could be such an isolating hobby if one never got out in real life.
So, in April, I packed my bags for a regional blogging conference in St. Louis.
I expected to enjoy a couple of days away from my kiddos.
I expected to sip a little wine with some other bloggers.
I expected to learn and grow and challenge myself.
What I did not expect was to make a friend.
But I did. She’s the lovely Brook from Redhead Reverie.
She’s spunky, sincere and super friendly, so when she asked if I’d like to guest post on her blog, of course the answer was a resounding YES!
So, today, my thoughts on the idea of a bucket list are hanging out over at her place.
Do stop by and tell her I sent you, please?
In the wisps of my memory, I pick at a loose thread.
And gently tug.
The memory unwinds bit by bit as each fiber of the filament sees the light of day.
Remembering Chicago…a girls’ trip with book club…deep dish sausage pizza…kissing a handsome Italian stranger on St. Patrick’s Day…exploring a vibrant city…celebrating my 40th birthday…shopping on Michigan Avenue…a bucket list written in jest on a napkin from a bar.
